Experienced Team

Our team has experience in all facets of the diamond industry from mine to market.

Lucapa is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange. Management is overseen by a Board of Directors consisting of three independent non-executive directors and one executive director. Our management team has deep operational and technical experience spanning engineering, geology, metallurgy, accounting and corporate relations. The Board and Management have significant experience in the diamond industry from exploration through to market.

Our past, present and future

Our company has evolved from a diamond explorer, more than a decade ago, to the ambitious diamond mining and development company that Lucapa Diamonds is today.

During that journey, we have moved downstream to partner with one of the world’s finest jewellers and share the polishing profits from our diamonds beyond the mine gate. We have an exciting future, with the proposed development of our first mine in Australia – Merlin, in the Northern Territory.  We are also planning to expand our downstream operations to capture more of the margins of cutting and polishing of the valuable gemstones we produce and also protect the provenance and integrity of the process from mine to market.

Our Vision

Lucapa’s vision is to become a leading global producer of large and high-quality diamonds from alluvial and kimberlite sources.

Our Mission

Lucapa’s mission is to explore and grow our production of niche high-value diamonds in a safe, responsible, innovative and profitable manner for the benefit of all stakeholders.

Integrity

We interact with all stakeholders with integrity, honesty, transparency and fairness.

Safety

We conduct operations in a safe, responsible and environmentally conscious manner.

Teamwork

We attract and employ the best skillsets, encourage teamwork, diversity and reward performance.

Communities

We work with the local communities in which we operate for common benefit.

Ethical Diamonds

At the heart of our mine to market strategy is protecting the integrity of the diamonds we produce.

Sustainability is at the core of our mission. At our African operations, we have a responsibility to ensure our employees are safe, the environment is protected, the communities are thriving, and the next generation are presented with opportunities.

The majority of those employed at our mines live in the local villages. We actively encourage women to obtain work at the mine and in 2023 trained the first female haul truck driver at Lulo.
